Skuli Bjornsson, Icelandic by birth, entered the global mobility industry in 2013, when he moved from the US to Stavanger, Norway in order to be closer to his family.

Skuli joined a global relocation management company as a Relocation Manager, before progressing into the role of Director of Customer Experience, where his focus was on ensuring service excellence. During this time, Skuli was responsible for service delivery in Norway and Denmark; he also directly managed service delivery in Asia and the Americas.

We are delighted to welcome Skuli to K2 in the new role of Country Manager for K2 Sweden.

Alongside leading our Malmö and Stockholm teams, Skuli’s focus will be on continuing to grow our regional relationships, as well as on exploring new business development opportunities within the region. Skuli’s presence and experience will help to continue to enhance the great service delivery of relocation, immigration, and professional services within our Scandinavian region. In line with Kinetic, K2’s five-year strategic business plan, Skuli will support his team to deliver regional commercial growth and service excellence.

When asked about the experience that he will bring to the role, Skuli speaks of management roles carried out in both Norway and Denmark, of contacts gained during this period, and of his understanding of Scandinavian culture – particularly the value of strong partnerships, a consultative and supportive approach to his clients, as well as the importance of a good work/life balance

Skuli is very much looking forward to his new role. During his first two weeks, which he spent at K255 in the UK, he was hugely encouraged by how supportive everyone was, and how palpable the ‘Q’ at K2 is. Whilst acknowledging the value of recent technological advancements, he feels strongly that face-to-face interaction cannot be replaced. For this reason, K2’s single point of accountability approach is one that he is hugely in favour of: “it’s important to have one person who can filter everything through to the client, to have one person project managing the assignees move, and to make it clear to them that any concerns they have will be heard and acted upon.

As his first week at K2 Sweden in Malmö draws to a close, we’d like to wish Skuli the very best of luck in his new role and officially welcome him to the ever-growing K2 family.
