Meet Kim, Head of Strategic Alliances and Client Development, APAC
With over 20 years of Global Mobility, Benefits and HR Operations experience, gained within the UK and Australia, I’m now using my industry knowledge to support K2’s new and current clients, as well as expanding K2’s profile in the APAC region.
Having led Macquarie’s Global Mobility Team for over 10 years, as well as managed clients across diverse industries as part of EY’s Assignment Services Team, I’ve been exposed to each and every element of a Global Mobility programme. I’m motivated to continue learning as Global Mobility evolves, and am looking forward to continuing my professional journey with K2’s clients and my K2 colleagues from around the globe.

A more detailed description of my journey
Having first met Nick & Richard 20 years ago, whilst supporting a mutual client, I quickly saw how their passion to provide personalised service excellence shone through in their day-to-day operations.
Sharing a mutual enjoyment of evenings out in London and networking with GM professionals, I soon got to know Nick well and admired his passion and dedication to the growth and development of K2, forever looking for the opportunity to improve and evolve to support K2 clients.
Over the years, seeing many of my ex-EY colleagues join the K2 family, I knew the culture and business strategy Nick and Richard had always been so passionate about was still intact.
I’ve watched K2’s journey with interest, from afar, but when I met with Richard, here in Australia at the beginning of 2023, I was astounded to hear about K2’s recent substantial growth both in terms of employees and services. Combined with K2’s ‘extras’ ie. the commitment to sustainability initiatives, the K2 Foundation and the well-considered Kinetic Strategy, it didn’t take me long to realise K2 would be an amazing organisation to join.
I feel fortunate the stars aligned with my career objectives and K2’s growth objectives and here I am!
Now that my first 6 months at K2 have nearly passed, I’d say the highlight has been learning more of the intricacies about K2 from the global teams (who have all been very generous with their time and supportive with their knowledge transfer). I’ve been enjoying taking that knowledge and passion and sharing it with GM professionals in the APAC market who are intrigued to hear K2’s unique and differentiated service level.
I chose GM as my career and still have the passion and drive to learn and develop in this area of specialism. I am excited to contribute to K2’s growth and development with the knowledge that K2 genuinely does put clients’ priorities, and the value of employees, at the centre of K2’s strategy.
