On Thursday 6th February, team members from K2’s UK and France offices, alongside representatives from AIRINC, held a successful Global Mobility Roundtable in Paris.

Hosted by K2 France Country Manager, Julie Sinacori, the event took place over the course of a morning and brought together GM professionals in the region from across a broad mix of industries.
After having the opportunity to enjoy a networking breakfast on arrival, attendees gathered together and took their seats to listen to presentations from K2 and AIRINC.
The first session of the day was run by Helen Squibb from K2’s Global Mobility Advisory Team, and focused on Global Mobility Trends & Policy Review. As well as sharing key insights and leading a discussion on policy options, Helen also introduced bite-sized ‘hot topics’ including a Core Flex approach in policy, aligning the talent agenda within global mobility, and technology options for the GM team.

Session two was presented by EMEA Deputy Region Leader at AIRINC, Bruno Lagasse, and explored the delivery of housing policy for long-term assignments. Bruno shared data from AIRINC’s Housing Benchmark Survey to support the conversation.
For the final session of the day, Bruno led a discussion around the simplification of the Cost of Living Allowance (COLA).
On the success of the event, Julie comments:
“These type of regional roundtable events provide attendees with a valuable opportunity to enjoy open discussion on thought-provoking topics, connect with local mobility peers, and share learnings from their own experiences.”
Julie continues:
“This was a fantastic session, and we are grateful to our partners, AIRINC, for collaborating on the organisation of this event and to Bruno and his colleague, Senior Client Engagement Manager, Kevin Theissen, for developing and delivering such informative sessions.
Thanks also go to Helen, for joining us in Paris from the UK office. It is great to be able to tap into the experience of K2’s global team members and for participants to be able to benefit from their expertise.”

Bruno adds:
“Great people, fantastic venue, a lot of interactions and challenging questions. I really enjoyed Helen’s presentation on policy trends: crystal clear, thought-provoking and inspiring. We also had the opportunity to talk about Housing and COLA. Basic topics you say? Then why is there still so much to say, why still so many questions and why so much diversity in the benchmark results? I really enjoyed presenting on these two topics which, far from being basic are rather the basis of a strong mobility programme.”
