Meet Miranda, our Director of Global Account Management
I have worked in Global Mobility for over 23 years, with over 15 years spent in-house, managing mobility programs within the Professional Services, International Finance and Manufacturing sectors. I moved over to supporting global clients with their GM needs and transformation 12 years ago and found I was able to take my first-hand experience, alongside my customer-centric approach and openness to challenge the traditional ways of working to drive results.
As Director of Account Management, I currently lead and empower our experienced Account Management team to deliver K2’s exceptional service to our global clients. I am also the Account Executive on a number of key engagements and have lots of experience in implementing, managing, and developing mobility programs aligned to a client’s organisational objectives and evolving talent requirements.

A more detailed description of my journey
My journey into GM was not linear, and I started my professional career in the retail and creative industries.
Working in retail for a large household name (the one that’s ‘never knowingly undersold’ ..) taught me many things and gave me the foundation of making smart business decisions; to maximise opportunity without compromise, multitask and develop interpersonal skills, but most importantly, it taught me to always ensure your customer has the best possible experience, at every level.
My creative background in visual merchandising has also paved the way in how I work and interact today, I am passionate about art, culture, fashion trends, music. I like to share new ideas. I believe creativity can help energise a team, and lets us see things with a new lense, when problem solving. I encourage my team to be ‘sharers not hoarders’, ideas are our common currency and we share them for everyone to benefit.
These laid foundations remain true in my client facing role today and are also inherently part of the core DNA of ‘K2’s service excellence in everything we do’ approach.
As well as the Professional skills you gain in various corporate roles, I believe there’s a lot to be taken from personal growth and development. I had my two sons in my twenties (which I still class very much as my formative years!) and I had to learn quickly to flex and adapt to change, whilst balancing a career. My boys are now in their twenties and it’s a pleasure to see them forging their own paths. I feel the upcoming generation often get a bad rap, but in my experience they are considered in their thoughts and feelings, engage much more in people matters, want fairness for all, and want to make a positive societal and environmental impact – I continue to be inspired by them, and take the learnings in my day to day ways of working and interacting with people of all ages, backgrounds, views, ideas etc...
I am also a firm believer in the ‘alchemy’ achieved, when people work together to create a force stronger than the sum of its parts. We have a wealth of experience at K2, Talent comes in so many forms and what makes K2 unique is we are empowered to bring together our people, to provide the best service and experience to our clients and their mobile workforce. I am fortunate enough to work with a great team and we all have a role to play in driving success.
Part of my role is to proactively listen to our clients, and find ways to consistently deliver positive outcomes and service excellence at every level. I also coach and actively encourage our teams to see the client and transferee views in any situation. Putting yourself ‘in their shoes’ brings broader empathy and understanding, and our clients tell us they can see and feel this hypervigilant level of care and approach. It’s a pleasure to read feedback from transferees and clients alike say, ‘this relocation experience was the best ever, everything was taken care of.’
Today, the mobility landscape in which we all operate has changed. We have continued to navigate an ongoing and challenging economic environment, whereby moving talent around the world, is often met with legislative changes and various unexpected hurdles. Myself and everyone at K2 support with high levels of responsiveness, a very agile and customer centric approach, and with knowledgeable, experienced K2 members at all levels.
