Hannah Dance, Head of European Operations
I have been with K2 Corporate Mobility since the beginning of 2016. Whilst K2 has been my first experience of Global Mobility, I joined the organisation with extensive expertise in UK Property Management, tenancy law and application, and UK Lettings.
My previous roles saw me working with tenants, landlords and clients from a wide range cultures and all walks of life. Whilst in these positions, I managed a vast range of large and complex property portfolios, in a variety of areas over the UK, including some at the highest end prime markets. Having worked alongside Relocation Agents in some of these former roles, I was keen to find out more about the world of corporate mobility. I was told K2 would take a chance on me, and hire me with no previous Global Mobility experience. I’d like to think the risk paid off, as I’m still here today!
I still get just as excited about K2 and where we’re heading as I did when I joined, and I have always felt very lucky to be part of the journey.

A more detailed description of my journey
My love of organisation and collaboration has helped me to progress in each role I’ve been in, and coming from a service focussed, people-centric background, definitely set me up for success at K2.
My first experience of full time employment was when I was 18 and working in Property Management. It was an environment where you had to be able to adapt fast, quickly find ways to resolve problems and manage any challenges presented to you. A thick skin and solution-based thinking were a necessity!
One of the most interesting roles I held before my time at K2 was in ‘LPA Property Management’ where I managed a property portfolio on behalf of Lenders, requiring me to oversee the property receivership process in instances where mortgage terms had been breached. This meant handling (sometimes heart-wrenching) evictions, credit control and arrears, as well as dealing with dilapidated properties and even occasional police investigations (!) alongside the ‘normal’ scope of property management day to day.
I truly believe that the professional experiences I gained prior to K2 helped toughen me up, and prepare me for every eventuality! Even though the varied nature of Global Mobility means I still find myself learn something new every day (which I love), I’m never fazed by complex challenges being thrown my way.
Our priorities in Operations, and K2 more broadly, are people, and service excellence. K2 has always prided itself on its outstanding service delivery; it’s this unwavering commitment to our clients and their assignees, and a promise to provide them with a positive and personal relocation experience, that are the key differentiators between us and our competitors. Since transitioning into the role of Head of European Operations, I see it as my role, even more so than before, to lead by example, every day I come in to work.
It has been truly incredible to witness K2’s significant organic growth, since joining in 2016. From being part of a small team of Relocation Managers to leading a, now more than 50 strong, European Operations Department, it has been an amazing journey so far and I can’t wait to see what the future holds for us!
