K2 have established an operational presence in China, with the opening of our latest office in Shanghai.
We have extended our global footprint to 14 offices, following the launch of K2 China. The setting up of the office in Shanghai, K2’s third Asia-Pacific location, will further strengthen our ability to support clients and their relocating employees in the region.
Commenting on the opening, K2’s Managing Director for APAC, Paul Barrett, who will have overall responsibility for China, says:

By establishing a presence in China, we will be able to more comprehensively support those clients who have activity within the country.
There are a number of existing clients who will benefit from this expansion almost immediately, and longer term, it will also help us capitalise on additional opportunities within this important market. Not only that, but strategically positioning ourselves in key locations, such as China, also enables us to enhance our efficiency and impact from an operational perspective, by increasing our coverage and ability to provide local expertise.”

K2 have appointed Renee Wu as Country Manager for China. Renee has 15 years’ global mobility experience; this wealth of industry knowledge, coupled with an extensive understanding of Chinese business culture and local trends and nuances, stands her in good stead to head up operations and drive success in the region. Renee remarks:
“We are starting to see the volume of moves into China rising again post-pandemic, so it feels like the perfect time for K2 to be entering this next phase of growth. We are poised and ready to kick off local activity for those clients with China requirements, and are looking forward to further developing our Shanghai team and service offering over the coming months.”
