In our final film of this “Paris 2024 Guidance & Assistance” series, Julie Sinacori, K2 France’s Country Manager based in our Paris Office, provides guidance on how the city’s transportation network will adapt during the games.
In this short film, Julie discusses the following:
- The affect of the Paris Olympics & Paralympics on normal transportation modes within the city
- The games are taking place during the local school summer holidays
- Buses, trains, trams & the Metro will be very busy during the Olympic period
- Non residents of Paris will have to pay €4 per ticket during the games
- International travel into Paris by train and plane are already heavily booked
- Arriving by ferry is an option however the recommendation is to go to an alternative port such as Caen or Le Harve
- Remember you need the QR code when moving around Paris during the games
The Olympics and the Paralympics will result in an increase in visitors to the city and as such will increase the usage of the transportation network. K2’s Paris Office will mitigate this impact through meticulous planning. They have already put in applications for multiple QR Codes, and are working closely with our transportation partners to navigate restrictions. Fully prepped and ready to go, they are excited to “welcome everybody to Paris for the Jeux Olympiques 2024!”
