She outlined Haleon’s transformative journey since its separation from GSK, emphasising the company’s innovative Grow Beyond programme – an innovative collaboration between Global Mobility and Talent which provides a suite of unique local and global mobility opportunities for employees to ‘Grow at Haleon’. From local placements and ‘Stretch’ projects to long term assignments, each one allows for different experiences and ways for employees to develop their skills and broaden their capabilities, beyond their existing roles.
Next, Lucy Cowell and Beth Griffiths from Diageo presented their Talent Mobility Assignment (TMA) Policy. Their insights highlighted the importance of aligning mobility strategies with organisational goals, ensuring that international assignments not only meet business needs but also enhance employee capabilities. The emphasis on transparency and effective communication resonated with attendees, reinforcing the idea that a well-structured mobility policy can drive both talent development and business success.
Colin Bell from COBIS rounded out the morning with a compelling discussion on Navigating International Education. He shared some first-hand and personal experiences and discussed the significant growth of British international schools globally.
