Eva Johnsson’s journey into the space of Global Mobility started in 1997, when she herself went on assignment as a result of her husband’s job.
From Sweden, they relocated to Moderna, Italy for three years, before moving again to Dallas, Texas for another three-year stint. Upon returning home to Sweden, Eva knew what industry she wanted to immerse herself into.
Entering Global Mobility with a role in Destination Services kickstarted a twenty-year career for Eva, where she would gain experience in DSP, Relocation Management, Account Management, and even secondment opportunities to understand the business ‘from the other side of the curtain’. Coupled with her own experience of what it is like to be an expatriate, Eva brings into her new role at K2 a wealth of industry knowledge, joining K2 Sweden as an Account Manager.
“This first month has shown to me a different approach to Global Mobility, of which I am really enjoying… the more I discover, the more I want to learn! From my first interview with Jo Wakeham, Miranda Barras-Smith and the team, I could sense the passion and care K2 have for both colleagues and clients. To be a part of this team really excites me.”
Eva’s ambitions at K2 involve continuing to build upon the partnerships with our clients, and understanding their goals, culture and challenges. Already having a great understanding of the local business in Sweden, Eva would also like to pursue new clients in the region. “What overarches everything, is my contribution to enhancing our already excellent service delivery.”
During her first month, Eva visited K255 in the UK, getting the chance to meet more of her colleagues. Whilst there, Eva describes K2 ‘Q’ making a huge impression on her; how everyone is eager to help in any way they can, the passion there is for growth, and the striving for excellence we all possess. Accompanying this, says Eva, is maintaining the balance between technology and in-person interaction. Striking that balance with technology so that it enhances our communications and services, all whilst keeping to our value of ‘because it’s personal’ is a mutual inclusivity Eva has discovered at K2.
“I know that K2 will bring out the best of me, and it gives me joy to know that I am in a good environment. It’s amazing to be one piece of an amazing puzzle.”
Outside of work, Eva has continued her love for travel ever since her years on assignment, as well as spending time with her family, listening to audiobooks and watching sports… specifically Malmö FF (Malmö’s football club)!
