Greetings, and welcome to my page, I’m Gavin and I have been part of the K2 family for 10 years, based at our HQ here in the United Kingdon. I have been in the industry for 15 years and like many people working in mobility, my journey to this point, has been unconventional, unexpected and full of amazing experiences. I have worked as a relocation manager, within operations, as a global account manager, working directly with our amazing and varied clients and now as Partner Relationship Lead, within the K2 global supply chain team.

A more detailed description of my journey
When I first started at K2, everyone kept referring to “The K2 Family’”, which made me think I might have accidentally joined the mafia
However, after only a few weeks I became aware of what that really meant. It was that I was truly part of an organisation and connected to people who genuinely cared, about their work and about each other.
Initially I had firm plans to be a professional stage actor, and studied performing arts at University in the UK. After studying, I worked on the east coast of the US (Maryland) as an outdoor activity instructor for a 2 years, utilising skills I had gained in scouting. Returning to the UK, I was then fortunate enough to secure a job as a production runner in the film industry, where I spent almost 10 years, developing my skills and working as part of the production crew of several large movies, and TV shows.
I joined K2 in 2014, and immediately felt empowered and supported in my work. After initially working on the frontline, in our operations team, I was offered the opportunity to train as an account manager, and was excited for the opportunity to further develop my skills and increase my understanding of the company, as global organisation..
Mentoring has been such a huge part of K2 for me and there are countless colleagues that I have been lucky to work with and learn from. This environment, I feel is at the core of the K2’s values and is the essence of who we are.
