We are independent, global mobility experts. We manage and broker services through our global partner network, supporting the full spectrum of mobility needs ranging from policy guidance, outsourced assignment management, immigration and end to end relocation management. We guarantee the prime purpose of collecting your data is to provide you with the information you require, for us to fulfil our service obligations, and to enhance our client experience. 

This Privacy Statement (the ‘Statement’) explains the personal information we collect from you, either directly or indirectly, and how we will use it. The Statement also covers the choices you can make about the data we collect, and how you can control these decisions. It applies to all K2 Corporate Mobility services, including our Ascent system. It also applies to any K2 Corporate Mobility controlled websites, as well as other offline interactions such as attending a K2 Corporate Mobility event (collectively referred to as, ‘Services’). Please read this Statement carefully to understand when you may provide personal information to us and how K2 Corporate Mobility uses personal information provided. By using K2 Corporate Mobility Services, you agree to the use of your personal information as described in this Statement. Learning about K2 Corporate Mobility

As you gather more information about K2, you may virtually or physically visit a site that we own. Examples include browsing our website, calling our in-house sales representatives, physically visiting or attending K2 sponsored events. We collect: name, email address, IP address, phone number and information provided by cookies or similar technology as well as social media identifiers (if you contact us using a social media channel). 

Why: we use this information to share news about events and services offered by K2 Corporate Mobility. Additionally, the IP address helps us to understand geographic information about our website visitors better so that we can improve our website for everyone and improve your online experiences with K2.

For full relocation services, K2 may collect the following personal data: 

For relocating individuals: name, title, gender, ethnic origin, nationality, passport details, marital status, date of birth, home (origin) city and country, host (destination) city and country, employer name, company unique identifier, payroll number, cost centre data, job title, job function/department, line manager information, HR contact details, office address, telephone number(s), email address(es), work address, home address, pets details, temporary/hotel address, assignment or transfer start and end date, degree certificate, marriage certificate, birth certificate, employment contract, housing lease contract, housing inventory, customs documentation, shipping inventories, salary information, bank details, flight/travel details, languages spoken, current visa details/copy, housing budget, housing preferences, schooling preferences (for children), selected home (from home search), current school, school year, school reports, school search preferences and selected school.

Why: we use this information to provide full relocation services and the collection will vary depending on service required and destination of relocation services. Unless required under applicable laws or necessary for the fulfilment of our contractual obligations to you, we never collect data of children without the consent of their parent/guardian.

How we use personal information

K2 Corporate Mobility uses the data we collect to provide you with the services we offer, which includes using data to improve and personalise your experiences. We also use the data to communicate with you, for example, informing you about your account, new services available, security and other types of updates.

K2 Corporate Mobility uses the data for the following purposes:

Security, safety and dispute resolution
We use data to protect the security and safety of our services and our customers, to detect and prevent fraud, to resolve disputes and enforce our agreements.

Business operations
We use data to develop aggregate analysis and business intelligence that enable us to operate, protect, make informed decisions, and report on the performance of our business.

Communication, marketing and advertising
We use the data we collect to deliver and personalise our communications with you. For example, we may contact you by email or other means of electronic communication to inform you about new K2 Corporate Mobility Services, security updates, update you on a support issue, invite you to take part in a survey or attend an event.

Third party vendors – we only share your personal data as necessary. K2 uses a variety of third-party vendors to carry out agreed services, for example to complete a service, you have requested or authorised and only with vendors or agents working on our behalf for the purposes described in this Statement. In this case, your personal information will be shared with these agents or contractors but only for the purpose of performing services on behalf of K2 Corporate Mobility and in accordance with this Statement. The up-to-date list of these parties may be requested from K2 at any time. Please note if you provide personal data to any of those third parties, your data is governed by their privacy statements.

Your communication, marketing and advertising preferences

You can opt out of receiving certain direct communications from K2 Corporate Mobility. If you wish to stop receiving emails from us, you can do so by following the instructions included in every email sent to you via the ‘Unsubscribe’ button. We respect your choice and we will stop sending you promotional emails once you unsubscribe. It may take up to one week to process your request. 

Please note, we may need to continue to communicate with you regarding service updates, policy updates or significant information about a service you instruct K2 to complete.

Cookies and other similar technologies

We use cookies and similar technologies like tags, web beacons and other identifiers to help us personalise our website for you, remember your preferences, understand how users are using our website and help customise our marketing offerings.


K2 Corporate Mobility is committed to protecting the security of your personal data. We use a variety of security technologies and procedures to help protect your personal data from unauthorised access, use or disclosure. For example, we store the personal data you provide on computer systems that have limited access and are in controlled facilities. K2 Corporate Mobility takes precautionary measures to help prevent information about you from loss, theft, misuse and unauthorised access, disclosure, alteration and destruction. For example, we ensure that our third-party data centre vendors provide adequate security measures. Additionally, your data is protected with encryption, such as transport layer security (TLS), during transition over the Internet. 

Your personal information is stored on servers that are kept in a controlled environment with limited access. While we take reasonable precautions to guard personal information we collect from you. 

You can only access your K2 Corporate mobility account information and our service through the use of an individual user login and password via Ascent. To protect the confidentiality of personal information, you must keep your password confidential and not disclose it to any other person. Please alert us immediately if you believe your password has been misused.

Additionally, always logout and close your browser when you finish your session. Please note, we will never ask you to disclose your password in an unsolicited phone call or email.

EU-US Privacy Shield

As part of our commitment to the EU-US Privacy Shield Framework:

  • K2 Corporate Mobility complies with the EU-US Privacy Shield Framework as set forth by the U.S. Department of Commerce regarding the collection, use, and retention of personal information transferred from the European Union to the United States. K2 Corporate Mobility has certified to the Department of Commerce that it adheres to the Privacy Shield Principles. If there is any conflict between the terms in this privacy policy and the Privacy Shield Principles, the Privacy Shield Principles shall govern.   • In compliance with the Privacy Shield Principles, K2 Corporate Mobility commits to resolve complaints about our collection or use of your personal information. EU individuals with inquiries or complaints regarding our Privacy Shield policy should first contact K2 Corporate Mobility:

    K2 Corporate Mobility has further committed to cooperate with the panel established by the EU data protection authorities (DPAs) with regard to unresolved Privacy Shield complaints concerning data transferred from the EU.

  • The parties that the information will be disclosed to are our third-party sub-contractors. These will be destination service providers, immigration lawyers, customs clearing officials, home search consultants, property management companies and shipping companies. All of whom will be providing a direct service to the assignees.
  • We confirm that at any time you have the right to access your personal data.
  • That in accordance with this notice we have limited the use and disclosure of your personal data.
  • K2 Corporate Mobility is subject to the investigatory and enforcement powers of the Federal trade Commission (FTC).
  • Under certain conditions you can invoke binding arbitration
  • In response to lawful requests by public authorities, including national security or law enforcement we can disclose your personal information.
  • K2 Corporate Mobility assumes liability in case of onward transfer to third parties.

Where we store and process personal data
Personal data collected by K2 Corporate Mobility may be stored and processed in your region, in the United States or in any other country where K2 Corporate Mobility or its affiliates, subsidiaries or service providers maintain facilities. All information you provide may be transferred or accessed by entities around the world as described in this Statement. K2 Corporate Mobility uses approved Standard Contractual Clauses for the international transfers of personal information collected in the European Economic Area and Switzerland.

Our retention of personal data
K2 Corporate Mobility retains personal data for as long as necessary to provide services, or for other essential purposes such as complying with our legal obligations. Because these needs can vary for different data types in the context of different services, actual retention periods can vary significantly.

Changes to our privacy statement
K2 Corporate Mobility may modify or update this Statement when necessary to reflect customer feedback and changes in our service; so, please review it regularly. When we update this Statement, we will revise the ‘Last update’ date at the top of the Statement. If there are material changes to the Statement or in how K2 Corporate Mobility uses your personal data, we will notify you by posting a notice of such changes before they take effect. Our policy towards children
K2 Corporate Mobility does not target and is not intended to attract minors. K2 Corporate Mobility does not knowingly solicit personal information from minors or send them requests for personal information. Although visitors of all ages may navigate through our website or use our app, we do not intentionally collect personal information from those under the age of 16. If, following a notification by a parent or guardian, or discovery by other means, a child under sixteen has been improperly registered on this site by using false information, we will cancel the child's account and delete the child's personal information from our records.
