During the 20 year journey that has led to K2 Corporate Mobility taking the form and shape it holds today, the company’s growth in particular service areas and locations has always been responsive – driven by client needs and changing markets.
When K2 started to build a suite of professional services, it quickly became clear that it was critically important to develop an expert and tailored global immigration service.
K2’s immigration service offering has gone from strength to strength since it was first set up, broadening to cover immigration consultancy, visa application management, document handling, and the design and delivery of solutions for long-term assignments, short-term assignments and business travel.
We are also now able to offer truly global coverage, both via our full vetted, accredited and licensed partner network (90 + immigration partners, active across 70 + countries worldwide) and through our well-established in-house, international immigration teams (operating out of regional hubs in Sweden, Singapore, the US and UK).
We have expanded our global immigration team by a further 30% in 2022, with the overarching aim of supporting client business strategy. One particularly notable appointment within this increased complement is David Snowling, who joined the K2 Family in October of this year as Head of Global Immigration Services.
A Global Mobility professional with over 20 years of Financial Services industry experience, David joins K2 following a 14 year period with AIG. During his time with the company he held a number of positions, most recently fulfilling the role of Global Mobility Partner for Asia Pacific, Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
As AIG’s Global Mobility Partner, in additional to having overall responsibility for all AIG’s cross border activity, including immigration and tax compliance across EMEA and APAC regions, David also supported the development of a significant organisational change strategy, as well as leading AIG’s international assignment and relocation programmes.
Prior to AIG, David held progressively more senior recruitment management positions, for various companies including Michael Page, Reuters and Citi.
Talking about his new role and what attracted him to K2, David comments:
“Although very much aware of K2’s industry leading reputation within the RMC space prior to my initial conversations with the company’s co-founder and CEO, Nick Plummer, it wasn’t until I had the opportunity to sit down with Nick that I began to get a real feel for what makes K2 so special.
I felt inspired by Nick’s uncompromising hunger for quality of client customer service, the evolution of K2 to date and his vision for the future of the company, supported by the current 5-year business strategy, Kinetic.
I’ve had the privilege of meeting teams across all areas and geography of K2’s business over the past 2 months and have been hugely impressed with the calibre of talent within the organisation. And, every single person has made me feel very much at home in this short period of time. The thought leadership, innovation, entrepreneurship and the raw talent of our employees is unlike anything I’ve experienced elsewhere.”
So, what’s next for K2’s immigration service? David responds:
“Immigration is at the forefront of K2’s growth plan. Working closely with regional managers, I’m excited to lead the global immigration practice through the next five-year period and beyond. It is my hope that my broader mobility background will help to integrate K2’s immigration services even more closely within the Group.
Governments globally are realising the importance of immigration policy forming part of future economic strategy, as well as driving their talent attraction proposition. With this in mind, we are well placed to support our global clients to negotiate these changes.
Our immigration practice at K2 is truly agile. We deliver local solutions on a global scale, operating a master services model and using a combined delivery approach to deliver enhanced levels of service and results.”
In line with the founding principles that have been at the heart of K2 since the company was established in 2002, the global immigration team prioritise service excellence and client relationships first and foremost. Working as an extension of in-house HR teams to manage the specific range of immigration services required to support the distraction-free relocation of employees, K2’s highly experienced and knowledgeable immigration teams are always on hand to help clients to successfully navigate the myriad of complex and constantly evolving immigration rules.
Committed to continuously delivering and developing bespoke, customer focused solutions for each client and project, our immigration teams make the effort to fully explore all the factors and interdependencies that could have a potential impact on a smooth transition for an assignee.
