Meet Julie, our Country Manager for France

I started my career in the relocation industry 10 years ago.

Over the course of my career, I have worked for a few companies and have had the opportunity to take on a variety of roles in France and the UK, starting as a Relocation Consultant, then overseeing the management of removals, relocation and immigration, before becoming Country Manager for K2 France.

My dream has always been to live and work abroad and so what could be better than being able to help others to do so? I’ love working in this industry because I understand what assignees and their families are going through.

I’ve had the experience of living and working in countries other than my own and I know how life-changing it can be. A new adventure is opening up- it’s scary, but it often turns out to be one of the best things you’ll ever do.

Living and working abroad is also an invaluable tool for personal development. In fact, what may seem perfectly normal beforehand can turn out to be something quite unusual after you’ve encountered a new culture.

When we realise that our ‘normal’ can be someone else’s ‘abnormal’ and we learn to respect that, then we become a better version of ourselves through enhanced cultural understanding and become better equipped to deal with our assignees and their families with empathy and kindness.

Today, having worked in several areas of international mobility, I have insight into all the stages in the relocation process, enabling me to offer valuable guidance to our clients, assignees and internal K2 teams.

K2 is a fantastic company to work for and, as an employee, you are supported at every level of the business. There is a family spirit that really means a lot to me.

Even though I don’t live abroad anymore, I still have the opportunity to travel a little every day and talk to my colleagues around the world.

I am so grateful to K2 for giving us the opportunity to open our first office in France 3 years ago – merci!
