Before the taillights of 2024 disappear off into the distance, let’s take a whistle-stop tour of this year’s key milestones…
We launched K2 Who, a unique twist on the Human Library concept.
“Designed to bring even more personality and transparency to the K2 brand, the library helps us to provide readers with access to both in-depth subject matter knowledge and the wholly personal lived experiences of the K2 Team, in an interactive and engaging way that is unique within the relocation industry.”
We published our second annual Sustainability Report.
“The significant increase in the scope of our reporting, both to meet internal demands and to comply with global requirements, has played a vital role in bolstering our governance programme. It enables us to gauge our impact, pinpoint areas for enhancement, establish objectives, and continuously adapt our approach to the constantly evolving demands of sustainability.” Nick Plummer, CEO, K2.
We secured a Top 10 position on the 2024 UK’s Best Workplaces™ list.
This list is published by Great Place To Work®, the global authority on workplace culture. “This recognition is no mean feat and highlights companies across the UK that excel in fostering high levels of trust in leadership, instilling pride in their workforce, and cultivating strong camaraderie among colleagues. These crucial elements collectively contribute to creating workplaces where employees feel they can truly be themselves and thrive in a supportive environment.” (Benedict Gautrey, Managing Director of Great Place To Work® UK).
We also secured a Top 10 position on the UK’s Best Workplaces for Wellbeing™ 2024 list.
This Great Place To Work® list features organisations whose people have ranked them very highly across the areas of work-life balance, sense of fulfilment, job satisfaction, and financial security.
We developed a new leadership role: Global Head of Customer Experience (CX).
This role is about building on greatness: increasing an already ‘world-class’ NPS® of 80 by focusing on listening and collaborating, raising the bar on CX within our industry.
The K2 Kinetic Cruisers, a team of committed and courageous cyclists, completed the Ride Across Britain for the K2 Foundation.
“Truly a behemoth of a challenge”, but one that saw us raise over £7,000 for our Foundation, which strives to improve the lives of children and young adults through education, health and wellbeing projects.
We welcomed 4 new members to our X Annos community.
This is a group of 29 highly experienced individuals who have been with K2 for 10 years or longer.
We launched our first podcast, Personally Speaking.
Its aim? To introduce the people behind our personal approach, with episodes focusing on our 2023 Nepal Expedition, our Marketing function, our Human Library, and our Executive Leadership Team.
We delivered a range of engaging events.
These included a Spring Social to celebrate client partnerships, a global day of presentations and team-building activities to mark the midway point of our 5-year business plan, and a range webinars, roundtables, GM forums, and GM leadership events.
We launched The Summit, our first LinkedIn Newsletter, which amassed 2,000+ followers within the space of its first week.
Published on a monthly basis, The Summit provides our audience and their extended networks with the latest news and updates from across the global mobility industry – easily accessible and easily digestible.
We completed the rebuild of a school in São Paulo, Brazil, which will be opening its doors in January 2025.
Funded by the K2 Foundation, the school will provide a safe space for up to 150 children from the local favela to learn, play and grow.
