US Virtual Corporate Round Table: Avoiding Déjà Vu | K2 Corporate Mobility

Well, 2020 was certainly a unique year. As new challenges continuously impacted us personally and professionally, we all had to find new ways to connect. When we created the K2 Virtual Corporate Round Table (VRT), our hopes were to support sharing of ideas, challenges, and solutions between our corporate mobility friends.

To our delight, attendees were very open, the feedback was fantastic, and word of the forum spread, as all clearly appreciated the interactive discussions vs. a webinar. Over the last 9 months and 17 sessions, we have been able to connect 350 corporate contacts from 90 companies in 15 countries. Who would have imagined such a positive outcome from being locked down! In the past it would have been nearly impossible to connect such a diverse group.

Over the holidays we have seen continued challenges impacting mobility which may require short term planning and consideration. In this next session the group will discuss implications of the following areas:

• Increased travel bans due to new variant.
• Increased quarantine requirements.
• Continued immigration challenges.
• Election results/impacts.
• Other logistical challenges (port closures, freight availability, temp housing, etc.).
