Today we proudly presented our latest fundraising donation of £18,235.74 to our CSR UK charity partner, the Rainbow Trust Children’s Charity.
This takes us over our £80k milestone to £83,532.74 in just five years.
Bravo to our UK colleagues for their efforts in raising these funds for such a fantastic cause, especially during these challenging times for charity fundraising.
Since January 2021, we have raised £21,904.41. This has been achieved by carrying out various fundraising events and activities such as climbing Mount Kilimanjaro and multiple gruelling long-distance walks.
K2 Executive Business Director, Richard Rutledge commented:
“We are thrilled to have reached this terrific fundraising milestone for the Rainbow Trust. Thank you to everyone who donated to support our fundraising activities. During some challenging long-distance walks, I know the team was inspired to get through it by thinking about the terrific work the Rainbow Trust does to help families in great need.”
Kit Hare, Corporate and Community Fundraiser, said:
“We are very grateful for K2’s continued support. They have held so many fantastic events to help us raise important funds for families we support who care for a seriously ill child. All the money raised over the past five years has really helped them make the most of the precious time they have together.”
K2’s relationship with the Rainbow Trust Children’s Charity
K2 UK have funded the Rainbow Trust Children’s Charity for five years. As part of our CSR strategy each of K2’s global offices have a chosen charity that they support to ensure we can support activities that benefit the community we work within.
The Rainbow Trust children’s charity enables families who have a child with a life-threatening illness to make the most of their time together. Each family is paired with an expert family support worker who provides practical and emotional support to all members of the family, where they need it, for as long as they need it. When everything is turned upside down, a dedicated family support worker becomes a trusted and constant person in family life.
