K2 USA have run a 6-part virtual roundtable series titled Future Proofing Mobility post Covid-19. For an introduction to the series, and an overview of session one please read our previous article.
The second roundtable in the series was held towards the end of April and explored US Domestic Household Goods (HHG) and Temporary Living. The session was again facilitated by Brad Shepard, Vice President of Business Development in the US, and Eric Pengelly, Director, Global Account Management.
The session began with a presentation from our K2 HHG experts Esteban Vela, Vendor Manager and Paul Fitzgerald, HHG Senior Specialist, who discussed the current situation of HHG services domestically in the US. This discussion included health and safety measures and expectations, availability and potential capacity issues, and different options and solutions that are still possible. The roundtable group then shared experiences and resolutions that have been trialled, and proposals for best practices were laid out.
The second half of the session deliberated Corporate Temporary Housing with Henry Gager, VP Global Operations, Corporate Living. The topics covered the impacts that temporary housing is experiencing, what the new temporary housing environment may look like, and the health and safety changes that we are likely to continue to see, both now and post covid-19. The group asked questions both to Henry and each other and discussed in depth what these changes to corporate temporary housing could mean for both the short and long term.
