A more detailed description of my journey
I’m originally from Cape Town, South Africa, and moved to the UK in 2003, where I lived for 12 years. I got my first role at a small shipping company in London and my career progressed from there.
I enjoy working with assignees and assisting them at such a critical, exciting, and sometimes stressful, time of their lives, and working in an industry that is as hugely varied as mobility/relocation, means that no two days are the same.
Having worked at one of the larger RMCs, where it often felt it was more about quantity over quality, I was a little apprehensive when I got a job offer from K2 following my move to Australia in 2015.
I decided to give it a go, and it was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. I love the whole family ethos at K2, everyone really cares about, and goes the extra mile for, our assignees and clients.
In my role as Operations Manager in Sydney, I manage a wonderful and very experienced client services team, as well as having a small caseload of assignees, alongside some account and supplier management duties. I love that my role is so diverse – it definitely keeps me on my toes!
