Our partners are vital to the success and longevity of our business, and we value their ongoing collaboration and support. As part of our Supply Chain communications, we will be spotlighting some of our regional service partners each quarter.

We caught up with Harikrishnan (Hari) Suresh, Crew Supervisor for Delight International Movers, for the first Middle East regional Partner Spotlight interview in this series.

I joined Delight in 2021, marking my first professional experience in the UAE. Transitioning from an aviation background, I initially took on the role of Crew Leader and was promoted to Crew Supervisor in 2024. My current responsibilities encompass the planning and execution of jobs, including both exports and imports. Additionally, I serve as a vital link between our clients and the coordination team, ensuring seamless communication and efficient operations.

Challenges are an inherent part of our industry, and we encounter new and sometimes unexpected ones regularly. The true satisfaction lies in overcoming these challenges through effective decision-making skills, which is why we believe we stand out as the best in the industry. Recently, we have faced increasing restrictions in villa communities and apartment complexes, requiring us to adapt our operations planning on the spot.

A significant challenge we face is the presence of unrecognized moving companies in the market. These “fly-by-night” companies often lead to negative experiences for clients who try to save money but end up losing more. This issue is one of the biggest challenges we are currently addressing.

In today’s fast-paced world, technology has revolutionized the way we conduct our daily operations. At Delight, we are committed to implementing innovative solutions to streamline our processes and enhance efficiency. By digitizing key operations such as survey report retrieval, operations planning, crew detail planning, and post-packing document uploads, we ensure that all necessary information is readily available to our team at any time.

These advancements not only save valuable time but also allow us to focus on what truly matters – client satisfaction. Our team can now dedicate more attention to delivering exceptional service, ensuring that our clients receive the best possible experience. The integration of these software tools has been instrumental in driving productivity and maintaining our high standards of service.

The Defense.com certification process is designed to be straightforward and efficient. It involves a five-step assessment of our security controls, followed by the completion of a questionnaire.

This questionnaire is then reviewed and marked by an official certification body, the process ensures that organizations meet the necessary security standards to protect against common cyber threats. Many find it to be a valuable step in enhancing their cybersecurity posture. It was a definite eye-opener for us and our IT Team enhanced multiple processes as a result. This also paved the way towards receiving our ISO 27001 certification. I also take this opportunity to thank K2 because of whom we went through this process.

At Delight International Movers, we are fully dedicated to sustainable business practices. We recognize that sustainability is not a one-time effort but a continuous process that requires ongoing monitoring and management by our team. We are actively exploring ways to enhance our processes, including the review and collection of data, recycling of materials, and implementing policies that benefit our staff.

Additionally, we are investigating options to reduce plastic usage in our operations. This journey towards sustainability is one we undertake with full commitment, alongside K2. Together, we strive to make a positive impact on the environment and ensure that our practices align with our values.

EcoVadis has had a significant impact on our operations at Delight International Movers. Once again thanks to K2, we are now among the elite companies that have achieved the prestigious Silver badge. Our journey towards sustainability does not stop here; we are actively progressing towards the Gold certification, with our team fully committed to this goal.

We have also observed that EcoVadis is gaining recognition in the UAE market, with many companies viewing the certification as a testament to our dedication to sustainable practices. This accreditation not only enhances our reputation but also underscores our unwavering commitment to sustainability.

The past 2-3 years have been incredibly exciting for us at Delight International Movers. We have expanded our presence with new offices in KSA, Bahrain, and India. Additionally, we are thrilled to introduce additional services to our portfolio. Our in-house consultants now provide comprehensive services, including home search, school search, city orientation, immigration, tenancy management assistance, and more.

We are also looking forward to sharing more exciting news in the coming years, with plans to open additional offices. Another dimension of our growth is the development of self-storage solutions, which we anticipate launching soon.
