Ahead of the ERC’s Global Symposium in Boston, K2 Americas hosted an event to welcome our partners to the historic city of Boston.
On Monday 16th October, we celebrated our partnerships and shared our latest news and updates, as well as putting our networking skills to good work.
Hosted by Jose Pose, Group Commercial Manager, Patricia Tavares, Country Manager for K2 Brazil, Maria McCoy, Americas Commercial Manager, and Carolina Carnauba, Immigration Leader in LATAM, the evening started at Democracy Brewing – a local brewery just outside of Boston Commons.
Here, updates were delivered by members of the K2 Team on the progress made with our Kinetic Plan commitments, and included updates on the structure of the Commercial Team, and how this will benefit and strengthen existing relationships.
The team also provided an update on K2’s new AP Portal: an innovative and time-saving invoice processing tool launched earlier this month. Patricia then gave a presentation about the K2 Foundation, which included an overview of the school building project in São Paulo.
A special mention was given to the ESG initiatives, particularly the efforts to reduce plastic in our supply chain. We were delighted to highlight the efforts of One Moving Brazil, who are already using zero plastics in all shipments!
Following these updates, the K2 team hosted a Happy Hour at the Democracy brewery, with nibbles and tasting of local beers. The event provided our guests with an opportunity to network and share ideas and information about industry trends and advancements they have made with regards to sustainable practices.
After networking, we were then led through Boston Commons and the neighborhood of Beacon Hill on a ghost tour. Our tour guides told true stories about the macabre and murderous history of Boston.
Our guests commented on the unique opportunity to get to see and learn about the city. We would like to thank our guests for their presence and enthusiasm during the evening.
